ABOUT ME &
WHY I'M
RUNNING.
Hi, I'm Philippe Cicchini. Don't worry, I got you covered:
it's pronounced fee-LEEP chee-KEE-nee.
WHY RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT?
This is the question I’ve been asked most often since announcing my candidacy in spring 2025.
I’m running as an Independent because I believe people deserve representation that is accountable to them—not to party leadership, political insiders, or special interests.
Too many people feel like they don’t fully belong to either side of the political system. They should still have a voice.
I don’t have a political party telling me what I can say or how I should vote.
My responsibility is to the people I represent.

WHAT CHANGED?
In February 2025, the federal administration laid off tens of thousands of workers and canceled government contracts across the country, including my own work with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
At the CFPB, my work focused on helping protect consumers from fraud, identity theft, and harmful financial practices. That work involved holding banks and financial technology companies accountable under laws designed to protect everyday Americans.
When those protections were abruptly disrupted, it became clear to me how quickly decisions made far from our communities can affect real families and real lives.
I experienced firsthand how people can be blindsided by decisions they had no voice in.
That moment forced me to make a choice.

I CHOSE TO ACT.
I’m not running to represent a political party.
I’m running to represent the many people who feel like they don’t fit neatly into either side, as well as those who believe that the current two-party system is failing them.
That's where you come in.
This campaign is about addressing the lack of genuine representation and making sure the people who are usually left out have an actual say in what happens next.
I made the decision to step forward. I hope you'll join me.
